This end of June remarked as Eid Fitr and my office kindly rewarded the employee a 10-days-off. So, it was time for me to make another trip again – getaway to somewhere! I was thinking to go to Chiang May – Srilanka – etc. But I ended up with Makassar to fulfill my word to Nunu, my dear fellow that I knew from Australia who just opened his dream huts by the beach.
I still remember when we both worked in Australia, he always mentioned that he wants to have his own BnB by the beach. And, now he made it come true! I was so excited to hear it and very keen to pay a visit.
He named the BnB after a train station where he always get off to work when in Australia. The station name is ‘Woy-Woy’. So that he will always remember that this BnB was built with so much struggle and hard work in Australia. And since the location of BnB is just by the beach that is perfect for the sunrise, then he named it ‘Woy Woy Sunrise Bira’.
Tanjung Bira itself is indeed very far from Makassar. I took a minibus for 6 hours drive to Bulukumba. From Bulukumba, I still need to have another 1 hour ride to Tanjung Bira.
So this is it! Away from the crowd of Tanjung Bira centre – here lies a very cute and relaxing huts. They have 6 colourful huts with chic interior. Each equipped with a queen bed, AC, and private outdoor bathroom. Perfectly provide your basic needs in such place.
Although the location is not in the centre, but don’t you ever worry when it comes to fulfilling your hunger needs! I assure you that Woy Woy’s food are da’bomb! All the seafood and veggies are freshly cooked and super delish! I seriously am drooling right now…Ugh!
And oh, my all time fave snack was FRRIED BAHNANAH! I ordered it every day in the morning – afternoon and evening! I swear I’m not exaggerating. They were too good to be true – a perfect companion for any relaxing occasion, be it in the pool, or when lingering on the bed overlooking the ocean.
Speaking of relaxing occasion, my fave spot was this tiny pool. Completely the best spot to relax my body and soul. I found my self dipping both day and night, no matter how hot or cool the weather was. Haha!
So yeah, I spent the whole 2 days just to read – eat – sleep – repeat! Yet I still haven’t got enough, really wish I had more days to spend here. Oh, wonder why Tanjung Bira is so far away from Jakarta! I certainly need this supplement every week..
For you guys who want to go to Tanjung Bira, I recommend you to stay here in Woy Woy Tanjung Bira. The room, the food, the facilities, the staff and the price are perfect! Satisfaction guaranteed!
Booking can be done via booking.com , AirBnb, or Agoda – whichever you convenient.
Thank you Nunu for your hospitality! I’m so proud of you. I wish you a greater and greater success ahead!
